I’m turning 30 this year and to be honest it has me in a bit of a panic. The getting older part isn’t what is scary to me. It’s the aging part that has me throughly freaked out! Which is why I am so dedicated to my skincare routine. Today I am sharing the products I love and believe will lessen the pain of this whole aging thing.
To wash my face I use Purpose. It gently cleanses without drying or irritating my skin and removes dirt, oil and make-up without stripping skin like soap can. Purpose is ideal for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Every other day I use my Clarisonic at night before bed. On the days I don’t use my Clarisonic I use Andalou Naturals Radiant Skin Polish, which is my favorite exfoliant.
Once my face is clean I use Murad’s Hydrating Toner. This is my favorite product to use in the morning. I like to keep it in my fridge so it’s nice and chilled. The fresh scent and cool mist make me feel awake, refreshed, and ready to take on the day. The Hydrating Toner is alcohol-free so it won’t dry out your skin. This toner brings back lost moisture, leaving the skin ready for treatment.
Because I have melamsa I have dark spots and patched on my hair line in my forehead, on the tops of my cheeks and also on my upper lip. I’ve tried tons of products to lessen their appearance, even prescription bleaching creams! The only product that has worked on them is Michelle Dermaceuticals’ Perfect C Serum. Vitamin C products are great for any discoloration in the skin- age spots, acne scars… And this vitamin C serum is my favorite! I spot cream my problem areas verse applying this serum to my entire face.
Next, I apply the Retinol Youth Renewing Serum. This product has such a fresh and clean scent. It goes on smooth and doesn’t leave an oily or greasy residue. This amazing serum uses a breakthrough Retinol Tri-Active technology: it’s a fast-acting Retinoid, a time-released Retinol, and a Retinol booster. In laymen’s terms? Youth in a bottle! Run, don’t walk to get this product and have visibly improved lines and wrinkles, firmness, and over all radiance within weeks! I only use this product once a day before bed.
My crow’s feet have always been an area of concern for me and for years have left me self-conscious about my skin’s appearance. I love Murad’s Renewing Eye Cream. It is so rich yet absorbs in a flash leaving zero residue, so it’s great for under make up. This multi-active, anti-aging treatment for the eye area firms, brightens, and hydrates to minimize the appearance of aging and dark circles. Hydrating and moisturizing the skin is so important so that’s why I use two amazing hydrating Murad products. First, I apply the Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence. This is a silky, weightless moisture-enhancing treatment that leaves skin feeling and looking hydrated, soft, plump, and youthful. Next I apply Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture. Sunscreen is always a must but especially when using retinol products. I have melasma so sunscreen and overall sun protection is an every day must for me, but I hate sunscreen. Every other night before bed I like to do a face mask. I alternate between a liquid/cream masks and sheet masks.
