Walks is a big pasta fan and a luck guy because he can eat it for every meal and not gain a pound! I made this pasta for him a few weeks ago and he said it was his favorite meal I’d ever made for him.
This simple and light Italian dish is quick and easy to make and pairs amazingly with white wine and crusty garlic bread!
“Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like.” -Mark Twain
I am somewhat picky about my meats. I like red meat, fish and wild game, but white meat like chicken or turkey or pork aren’t my faves! Because of this lamb is one of my favorite meats. Its so rich and hearty and full of flavor.
Growing up we would eat it all the time. The first daddy/daughter date I remember going on with my dad was to a small little Greek place in our neighborhood. We split the rack of lamb and from then on I was sold! Side note- if you live or are traveling to Orange County you must try this restaurant! It’s called Christakis. We still celebrate all our important family events there 25 some odd years later.
This lamb recipe will wow the whole family, especially dad. It pairs wonderfully with my champagne mac and cheese too!
“Indian food is a luxury tour.” -Mahesh Bhupathi
I love Indian food. The first restaurant my parents took me too (I was less than a week old) was Indian and we would eat it all the time growing up. I’ve introduced Walker to it and he’s become a fan as well!
For those of you who don’t have a broad palate Indian food may seem scary! But fear not my foodie friends! Do you like chicken? Do you like yummy, delicious sauce? Yes, and yes? Well then you’re going to be a fan of chicken tikka masala.

Summer is just around the corner which means the best fruits are ripe and ready to be featured in fresh, light and amazing ways!
I love incorporating fruit in my salads- especially during the spring and summer months. I feel like it give any green salad a refreshing pick me up.
Today’s watermelon arugula salad if the perfect partner to any summer dish.
“There has never been a sadness that can’t be cured by breakfast food.” -Ron Swanson
Walks LOVES eggs. I’ve actually never met a human who enjoys eggs as much as he does. I however am so-so on them. I wanted to come up with a recipe that includes the food at the base of his food pyramid that I’d enjoy too and vuala- Italian style breakfast for dinner was born.
Anything is amazing with a hearty tomato sauce and yummy garlic bread. These baked eggs will be a crowd pleaser for breakfast for dinner or even a weekend brunch. Enjoy!
“People who love to eat are always the best people.” -Julia Child
I recently made this spicy blue cheese grilled romaine wedge salad for Walker’s best friend, Doug’s, birthday dinner. The boys loved it so I knew I had to share the recipe with y’all.
This grilled romaine salad is the perfect side and the spicy/sweet combo will have everyone’s taste buds celebrating! There’s just something about Summer that makes me feel like everything should be grilled. Considering I don’t even know how to turn the BBQ on, I use a grill pan.
