Put it on the grill!

I recently made this spicy blue cheese grilled romaine wedge salad for Walker’s best friend, Doug’s, birthday dinner.  The boys loved it so I knew I had to share the recipe with y’all.

This grilled romaine salad is the perfect side and the spicy/sweet combo will have everyone’s taste buds celebrating! There’s just something about Summer that makes me feel like everything should be grilled.  Considering I don’t even know how to turn the BBQ on, I use a grill pan.

INGREDIENTS:
2 heads of romaine
1/4 cup candied pecans
1/4 blue cheese crumbles
4 tablespoons blue cheese dressing
3 tablespoons Frank’s hot sauce
2 table spoons white wine vinegar
Pam or other cooking spray
Salt

DIRECTIONS:
Fire up the grill or in my case, get your grill pan hot!
Cut the heads of lettuce in half and lightly spray with Pam and season with salt.
Place heads cut side down on the grill for 3-4 minutes or until lightly charred.
Mean while mix blue cheese dressing, hot sauce and white wine vinegar in a bowl and mix well.
Once lettuce is grilled place on your serving dish.
Top with spicy dressing, candied pecans and blue cheese crumbles.

Kisses and fire up the grill wishes,
