It’s football season which means I will have zero idea of what’s going on in 90% of the television Walker is watching BUT I will get to whip up tasty game day treats for us over the next couple months. I may not get football, but I am an expert at game day snacking! Today I am sharing my semi-homemade game day recipe for loaded carnitas fries! You can get this app done in a jiffy and have more time to figure out what a blitz is.
Ingredients:
1 cup pre-made carnitas (Trader Joe’s has my favorite!)
3 large handfuls frozen french fries of your choosing
2 tsp Cajun or Mexican seasonings
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1/4 green onions, chopped
Directions:
Cook fries according to directions on package.
Meanwhile, shred pork and mix in 1/4 cup BBQ sauce.
Once fries are cooked, transfer to a cast iron skillet.
Sprinkle with seasoning and top with cheese and meat.
Cook for 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees.
Top with onions.
Serve with ranch and touchdowns.
