Martini Time!

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can vodka and that’s pretty much the same thing.” -Unknown

martini3Easter is Sunday which means Lent is over.  I gave up drinking and I am pretty excited to have a cocktail first this Sunday morning. Easter egg hunts and martinis are totally an appropriate pair… right?  Whether you’re on the same boat as I am or your just wanting a fun, yummy and festive cocktail to serve your guests at brunch, this cupcake martini recipe will do the trick!  It is my all time favorite and I hope you enjoy!

You’ll need two small plates. Cover one plate with a thin layer of honey, the other with sprinkles. First coat the rim of the glass with honey, then sprinkles- just like you would with lime juice ans salt for a margarita. On either a third plate or a sheet of parchment paper let the glasses cool for at least 30 minutes upside down in the fridge to set the sprinkles.
In a shaker, combine ounce pineapple juice, 3 ounces vanilla flavored vodka
and a splash of grenadine- just enough to turn the liquid from yellow to a soft peach color and ice. Shake and serve in chilled glasses.
