The Transitional Blouse

“Clothes are like a good meal, a good movie, a great piece of music.” -Michael Kors

I love me a great blouse!  A blouse is probably the single most transitional piece you have in your closet.  Wear it to work under a suit; pair it with skinnies and heels, like today’s post features, for brunch;  throw it on with denim cut offs and sandals for warm weather day drinking on a patio; put it with leather pants for a sexy date.  One single blouse can take you all those places.

I’ve found the best place to shop for blouses is Loft.  They are a great price point, fabulous quality and they fit really well.

Last week I paired this retro-eque Loft blouse with a Theory suit (similar here/here and here/here/here) and SJP heels (similar here and here).  This week I’m showing you how to take the look from office to weekend.  I’ve paired the same blouse with white skinnies, fun Burberry heels (simialr but much more affordable here), an (old) Tory Burch crossbody (similar here) and a tassel necklace by Kendra Scott.
