I love me a great blouse! A blouse is probably the single most transitional piece you have in your closet. Wear it to work under a suit; pair it with skinnies and heels, like today’s post features, for brunch; throw it on with denim cut offs and sandals for warm weather day drinking on a patio; put it with leather pants for a sexy date. One single blouse can take you all those places.
I’ve found the best place to shop for blouses is Loft. They are a great price point, fabulous quality and they fit really well.

You’ve seen this skirt before in my throw back post from The Broadcast. I have gotten so much use out of this skirt! I’ve even worn it in the winter with a black turtleneck and close toed pumps. And for under $25 its an affordable way to add a fun and unique piece to your closet.

Spring has sprung which means it’s time to put to away our winter wardrobe and freshen up our closet with fun pops of color. Orange is my favorite color because I think its just a happy color and it pairs well with so many other colors.

If you’re a fan of my blog and or follow me on Instagram you know I’m a huge fan of anything off the shoulder. It’s a great trend for spring and summer and Walker loves the style on me so I’ve been trying to wear it as much as possible. I think its such a cute, feminine and flirty look.
I have posted this dress (which is only $26) a few times on my social and y’all have been going crazy over it! I don’t blame you because I’ve only had it for about 3 weeks and I’ve already worn it about a dozen times. The dress was originally solid blue but I had a little miss hap dyeing Easter eggs and decided to turn the dress into a DIY project. The dress also comes in red, white and black.

I got this Theory suit about a month ago and I’ve already worn it three times. I wore it to a Daughter of the American Revolution tea with Walker’s mom, on Easter and to brunch. Sadly, its sold out now, WA! but I’ve linked similar ones here/here, here/here, here/here/here and here/here.
A little tweed suit is the perfect staple for spring- whether you’re going to work, church, brunch or spending time with your man’s mom, you really can’t go wrong.

Growing up Catholic, I went to Mass every Friday at school and every Sunday with my parents. The church I went to with my parents was very casual. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see men wearing swim trunks in the summer. Even the priest wore Rainbow sandals under his robes.
The first time Walker went to Mass with me (we alternate every Sunday between Catholic Mass for me and Methodist Church for him) he showed up to pick me up wearing a suit. I had to tell him that even wearing slacks would be over dressed. But oh how the roles were reversed the next Sunday. Walker picked me up for his Methodist service and told me I was too casual- “Casual?” I thought, “I’m wearing a fur!”. I had on a fur vest, a knee length dress and Ralph Lauren ridding boots. After being in his church for about 4 seconds I realized he was right. These women (and men) were dressed to the nines!
So though it’s been a change and an adjustment, I really enjoy dressing up every other Sunday. Going to church together has become somewhat of a “date” for us. After Methodist service we have a fun and relaxing brunch and after Mass we go to our favorite little Greek spot. Sunday’s have become my favorite day with him.
If you are anything like me, you think this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is seriously the best season of any Real Housewives in the franchise to date. While watching the past three episodes I have been mesmerized, not only by the Munchhausen controversy, but by the Kaftans (they’re not mumus Kent!) the ladies have been wearing! I find myself online shopping for them during every commercial break! Continue Reading
Red is such a fun, exciting, bold color. Though its often associated with the winter months and the holidays red is a great color from spring too. When incorporating red into your spring wardrobe think fresh fabrics and fun flirty patterns.
